Denise Moriasis

(Chairperson)

Denise is the Chairman of the GRACE Initiative Board. He holds a M.A Sociology from Chaudhary Charan Sing University, Meerut. He has extensive experience in programs and management and currently works as the Managing Director at Kenya Canine Kennels. Before joining G.R.A.C.E. Project he was the Senior Children Officer in the Nairobi Children’s Court, District Children Officer in Garissa District and the Program Officer & Project Administrator for Street Families Rehabilitation Trust Fund.

Brenda Manyange

(Treasurer)

Brenda Manyange, is a banker at a commercial bank in Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Kenyatta University and an MBA in Strategic management from The University of Nairobi.

Elka Motanya

(Secretary)

Elka Motanya is a passionate Legal Executive and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya whose contagious pursuit for a shared vision, creative solutions and collaborations has led to organization transformations, operational excellence and desirable outcomes. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and was admitted to the Bar in 1997. She is also a Certified Secretary with the Institute of Public Certified Secretaries of Kenya and also a Commissioner for Oaths.

Joseph Matara

(Member)

Joseph Matara is a humanitarian based in the USA, where he has spent the last 25 years in community development; mostly in the city of Newark. During his time in Newark, he has worked to remove barriers that prevent the residents from achieving their life goals. These barriers include access to clean, safe and secure affordable housing, quality education, health care, job opportunities and wealth creation, among others. He is also the founder of GRACE Project, a not-for-profit organization based in the USA, whose goal is to provide opportunities in education, healthcare and sustainable farming for poor families in rural Kenya. Joseph currently works as Chief Financial Officer for a Private Foundation in the USA. He graduated from St. John’s University with a Master of Business Administration degree.

Rebecca Amukhoye

(Member)

Rebecca Amukhoye is the Chief Executive Officer of Micro Enterprise Support Programme Trust. She is an agriculturalist and a business development practitioner with vast experience in the development sector. She has over 20 years work experience successfully directing impact-oriented programmes that have empowered smallholder farmers on areas of food security, agriculture and enterprise development in Kenya and other East African countries. Her background is in Agriculture, Rural Development and Strategic Management. In her career, she has been instrumental in providing leadership, planning, implementing projects and ensuring that the operations of the organization are aligned to its vision and strategic direction. Ms. Rebecca holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, MSc. Agriculture & Rural development from Kenya Methodist University and BSc. Agriculture and Home Economics from Egerton University.

Jackline Edung

(Board Member)

Jackline is a certified Life Coach with over 15 years of experience in leadership and a passionate STEM enthusiast. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Nairobi, certification in Decision making for environmentally sustainable supply chain and leadership in Business Entrepreneurship from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She is also passionate about youth and women empowerment. Jackline is also a Mandela Fellow.

Kepha Omari

(Board Member)

Kepha is the Deputy County Reproductive Health Coordinator in Kisii. Previously he served as the sub county Public Health Nurse Kitutu Chache South, Kisii. Kepha is a registered Community Health Nurse with a Diploma from Kenya Medical Training College and has over 15 years of nursing experience.
