How We Work

GRACE Initiative employs a holistic approach to help these families by addressing multiple barriers.

Children and families in rural areas are faced with multiple barriers preventing them from achieving their full potential. Some of these barriers include access to quality education, poor health services, lack of health education, and hunger and starvation.

Our Vision

A world of equal opportunity for all.

Our Mission

To secure the future of underprivileged children in Sub Saharan Africa by enabling equitable access to quality affordable education, basic health care, and nutrition.

About Us

GRACE Initiative was formed in 2010 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, promote lifelong learning opportunities for all qualifying children, achieve food security and improve nutrition through sustainable agriculture, and ensure healthy lives and well-being for all.

What We Do

OUR ORGANIZATION’S APPROACH

What We Are Doing

We ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all qualifying children by;

  • Achieving access to quality education
  • Promoting agricultural productivity and sustainability
  • Offering Health Education and Services

Education For All

GRACE Initiative supports and works towards all levels of education, from primary education to skilled workers apprenticeships, university, and further education at home and abroad.

OUR ORGANIZATION’S APPROACH

Greater GRACE Academic Centre

The Greater GRACE Academic Centre was started in 2010 to provide access to high-quality education to qualifying children regardless of their family’s ability to pay tuition. The school has a population of 200 learners from Pre-School to 8th grade. Barriers that GRACE initiative is addressing in education include:

◊ Lack of quality learning
◊ Access to quality education
◊ Equitable distribution of resources between rural versus urban schools or private schools

◊ Low completion rates.

◊ Lack of interest in STEM.

◊ Low self-esteem.

Health At Schools

Health Education and Services:  A student who is not healthy cannot profit optimally from the educational process. Schools can be one of the primary sites through which children and youth learn about the factors that influence their health. The health and well-being of children must be a fundamental value of society.
